Storage Unit Inventory Checklist
Use this checklist to create a searchable inventory before your storage unit fills up.
Before packing
Group items by category, decide what should stay accessible, and choose bins or boxes that stack safely.
For every container
Record the container name, storage unit zone, important contents, fragile items, and whether the box needs climate-safe placement.
For the unit layout
Map major zones and leave an aisle if possible. Keep a simple note of what belongs in each zone.
For labels
Add a readable box name and a QR label. Make sure the label faces outward before the box is stacked.
Before you leave
Search your inventory for a few important items to confirm the system works while you are still at the unit.
