Bralo Storage Guide
How to Organize Storage Bins So You Can Find Things Later
A practical system for organizing storage bins with locations, clear container names, item lists, and QR labels.
Start with where the bin lives
Create a location before you name the bin. A location can be a garage wall, closet shelf, shed, basement zone, or storage unit.
Name containers clearly
Use names that will still make sense later, like “Holiday lights - garage shelf” or “Kids winter gear - closet.” Avoid broad names like “misc.”
Add the items you search for
You do not need to list every tiny object. Add the items you are likely to forget, replace, or need quickly.
Use a QR label when the bin is packed
Attach the label to a visible side of the bin. When you scan it later, the container record should tell you what is inside.
Review gradually
The best storage system is one you can maintain. Update one bin at a time when you open it, move it, or add something new.
